Whenever I try a new recipe, I ask the family if they like it or not. If it is good, they will say "Put it on the list." This mystery "list" is something I started years ago in a notebook hoping to have a supply of great recipes at a moments notice. That notebook has found a new home long ago and I still want to have a great list of recipes to pull from when the mind is slow. I have recently been asked to contribute to a couple of recipe blogs, and I plan too. I just don't know how glad they will be if I add too many. So this is mine. I will put on recipes I love and that work for my family. Hopefully this will save me losing great recipes and be a resource for who ever is interested. Maybe making a digital "list" will get me organized. I have boxes, notebooks, and dog eared magazines to sort through. But, I hope this will be worth it in the end.
My other plan is to have a place to store pictures of cakes I have made. I love baking and I take pictures of cakes hoping to remember the best. Unfortunatley my picture taking skill is somewhat limited, so I'll take advise there. I only wish I could store a sample of some of these. That would make a much more interesting blog. So get ready to have your mouth water.....
This is the cake I did for Julie's Wedding. The top and bottom are inside out german chocolate cake. The middle cake wad white chocolate cake with raspberry mousse filling and a white chocolate ganache icing.
